The New Year’s Eve concert map in Denver changed in late October: Pretty Lights announced three nights at Mission Ballroom starting on the 31st, Decadence finalized its two-night lineup at the Convention Center, and the Fillmore and the Ogden both booked NYE runs. Red Rocks is closed for the winter, Ball Arena has nothing, and three of the mid-size rooms are dark through the holiday. Here is who is actually playing on December 31, 2026, and when the doors open.
The short version

Jazz: Nocturne’s annual New Year’s Eve dinner shows (two seatings, four courses, a midnight toast at the late show) hadn’t posted 2026 details at our last check, and Dazzle has Otis Taylor on December 30 with nothing listed yet for the 31st. Both are on the parties page once they post.
Dark on New Year’s Eve
So you don’t waste a search:
- Red Rocks closed its 2026 season in mid-November and doesn’t host winter concerts.
- Ball Arena has nothing December 30 or 31. The Nuggets are in Minnesota and the Avalanche are playing the Winter Classic in Salt Lake City on New Year’s Eve.
- Paramount Theatre is dark from December 19 until mid-January.
- Bluebird (dark December 20 to January 8), Gothic (December 12 to January 16) and Summit (December 19 to January 14) are all closed through the holiday. Last year those rooms had a rave, the Budos Band and a disco party on the 31st; not this year.
- Denver Center: A Christmas Carol and Elf both close December 27. The only DCPA production spanning the date is What a Glorious Feeling in the Garner Galleria, and a December 31 performance wasn’t on the schedule at our last check.
Annual NYE shows that haven’t announced yet
These rooms do something every New Year’s Eve and hadn’t announced 2026 at our last update. Last year’s act is listed so you know the shape of the night.
- Itchy-O, the Denver marching-band-meets-noise ritual, played its NYE Saturnalia at the Federal Theatre last year with Wheelchair Sports Camp.
- Temple Nightclub: Valentino Khan last year. Club Vinyl: J. Worra, Riordan and TOBEHONEST. The Black Box: The Widdler’s Midnight Mass. The Church: Kasbo (see the table).
- Ophelia’s: Bearracuda. Marquis: Holdfast. Lost Lake: Colfax Speed Queen. Two Moons: Borahm Lee, Adam Deitch and Alvin Ford Jr. Tracks: SHIMMER. ReelWorks: an FKJ DJ set. Globe Hall: Dead Floyd.
- Nocturne: the Jack Dunlevie Quintet playing Gershwin, two seatings, 21+.
Westword’s NYE concert list came out November 19 last year. When the 2026 one lands, most of the above will be in it, and in our table within the week.
Our stage: the band at White Rose Gala
We produce White Rose Gala, so here’s what the music is and isn’t. It’s a live swing band in the ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton, Denver, Gatsby-era horns and a singer, the kind of band you dance to in a dress rather than stand in front of. DJs run the speakeasy room and take the ballroom between sets, showgirls and theatrical performers work the room all night, and the whole building counts down to a balloon drop at midnight. 8 PM to 1 AM, 21+, one ticket at $109 with fees included, cash bars, discounted rooms upstairs through our link.
It is not a concert. Nobody’s name goes on the marquee and nobody has to be in the front row. If a specific artist is the reason you’re going out, Pretty Lights, Decadence, the Fillmore and the Ogden are all on this page with links, and we’d rather you had a great night there than a wrong one with us. If the night is about the room, the band and the people you brought, that’s us, and the photo gallery shows what the ballroom looks like at 11:58.
One more practical thing: every concert on this page ends with you outside at surge hour. The hotel packages page has the room math, and the fireworks page has the free stuff and the train times.

Denver New Year’s Eve concerts FAQ
How this page works: every show above was checked against the venue, the artist or the ticketing company, not a resale site, and resale prices are never quoted. Shows marked pending or unconfirmed are listed with last year’s act or a note on what we couldn’t verify. We re-check weekly through December 31, and when the Westword roundup drops we reconcile against it. Spot an error? Tell us and we’ll fix it. More from us: the complete Denver NYE calendar, every NYE party, fireworks times and viewing spots, hotel packages, and photos from past years.
